Our vision. The Armonia UK Trust exists to support Armonia Mexico. We do that by sending financial resources and volunteers, and through prayer and encouragement. Our patron is the Rev. JRW Stott and our registered charity number is 1037177.
Armonia was founded in 1987, on a rubbish dump in Jalalpa, a violent and very impoverished neighbourhood in Mexico City. Since then, Armonia has grown to three urban community centres and one rural centre. The centres have many projects including:
- Bible teaching
- nutrition programmes
- medical advice
- education assistance
- family therapy
- housing finance
Armonía Mexico works in relief, development, advocacy, justice and transformation programmes. Armonía has always been and continues to be, committed to building relationships based on service, inspired by a need for justice, led by the communities themselves. Armonía responds to both the practical and spiritual needs of those in their community. Visit the Armonia Mexico website here.
“Armonia has a vision for combining evangelism and social action in Mexico, and for serving the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of its citizens, especially the children. They are planting seeds of hope in oppressed and neglected communities. Here is a grassroots ministry of Christian compassion which we in Britain must support.”
John R. W. Stott
